Our approach

Built around the work of security teams

At the checkpoint, in the control room and beside the investigator, the same need comes up: bring the right information to the person who can act on it.

At the checkpointCheck a person or vehicle against the records an officer is permitted to see.
In the control roomReview camera events, acknowledge emergencies and coordinate the response.
Beside the investigatorKeep identity history, evidence and related cases connected.
The platform

People, evidence and operations in one place

Explore the full workflow, from identity enrolment to a case, a camera event or an officer requesting help.

Fingerprint identification

Search and verify enrolled fingerprints, then review candidate matches and supporting records.

Face recognition

Review candidate matches from photos, camera images and uploaded video with an authorised operator.

Vehicle and plate checks

Connect plate reads, vehicle records, documents, flags and sightings.

Sightings and maps

Follow recorded events by time and location, with source records for investigation.

Alerts and watchlists

Review flagged people, vehicles and configured site events in the control room.

Dispatch and voice

Assign a nearby or specific officer, follow acceptance and call back after a dropped call.

Complaints and cases

Record statements, assign work, attach evidence and track the investigation.

Accountable access

Use role permissions, approval workflows and activity records to control sensitive actions.

Video and audio review

Work with uploaded media and review recognised candidates alongside the source material.

Remote phone cameras

Request field camera sharing with the officer’s permission.

Device approval

Approve field devices and camera connections, and revoke access when needed.

Organisation hosting

Plan the installation on infrastructure controlled by the organisation.

Identity history

Keep multiple phone numbers, changes and recorded reassignment over time.

Bank and tax identifiers

Store bank accounts and use configurable Bank ID and TAX ID field names.

Site security

Group cameras by guarded site and configure detection rules and alert recipients.

Agency collaboration

Connect authorised partner events and share information within configured permissions.

Investigation and intelligence

Connect the clues and review the reasons

Bring together identity records, linked cases, sightings and partner events. Analytical results support an investigator’s judgement and must be checked against the underlying evidence.

Ask questions of records

Use supported record queries to find relevant information and follow the source records.

Person and case analysis

Review recorded flags, associated cases and related events in context.

Patterns and hotspots

Explore incident patterns and location trends to support patrol planning.

Early warnings

Review configured alerts and emerging patterns before deciding on the next action.

Recognition across media

Compare enrolled fingerprints, faces, plates and supported audio or video inputs.

Fraud and misuse review

Investigate conflicting identity information, suspicious activity and access concerns.

Camera network

Different cameras. One coordinated picture.

Plan coverage around the location: a road, a shop, a perimeter or an officer in the field. These illustrations show common hardware types; each selected device and connection must be validated during deployment.

Field footage for review or evidence upload through the agreed device workflow.

Camera sends images

An approved camera or gateway uploads images using its dedicated connection details and revocable key.

Server fetches images

Use a supported image or stream source where the network and camera allow the server to retrieve it.

Remote and community sites

Approve each source before connection. Plan power, connectivity, retention and access for the site.

Camera types shown for reference. Compatibility depends on the selected device and connection method. Solar runtime and mobile data usage depend on the site and capture workload.

Detection in action

From a camera event to an officer’s response

Example scenario: perimeter crossing and vehicle detection
01

Capture the event

A site camera supplies an image of a person crossing a closed perimeter.

02

Review the alert

A configured rule raises an event. Control checks the image, location and context.

03

Send the right officer

Dispatch selects a nearby or specific officer and sends the location and instructions.

04

Preserve the record

Attach relevant captures to the case and record the response for later review.

A detection is a lead for review. An image or automated match alone does not establish that a crime occurred.

Officer safety

A pending emergency stays visible

A small floating notification stays available until control acknowledges the SOS. New alerts make a sound, and the location opens on a map.

Dispatch can select a nearby or specific officer, follow acceptance and call an officer back after a dropped call.

On the road

What it looks like for an officer

Three illustrative workflows: a roadside check, a patrol vehicle and an emergency response. Names, places, plates and outcomes are fictional.

A police officer shows a motorist the papers check for his car on the Sentinel ID tablet

At the roadside

1OfficerGood afternoon, sir. Your licence and vehicle papers, please.
2MotoristHere you are, officer. Is something wrong?
3Sentinel ID, on the officer's tabletAPP-456CV · registration valid · insurance expired · roadworthiness expiring soon · owner's licence valid
4OfficerYour insurance has expired, sir. You will need to renew it before you drive on.

The officer photographs the plate or types the licence number in the field app. The screen shows the owner, the papers and any warning, from the same records the control room uses.

Two police officers in a patrol car check a number plate on the Sentinel ID tablet mounted on the dashboard

In the patrol car

1OfficerSilver Corolla ahead of us. Check the plate: APP-456CV.
2Sentinel ID, on the tabletAPP-456CV · Toyota Corolla · insurance expired · roadworthiness expiring soon · owner's licence valid
3OfficerInsurance expired. We stop it at the next junction.

Officers check any plate from the car, by typing it or reading it with the camera. If the vehicle is stolen or wanted, the tablet shows the recorded flag and an alert goes to headquarters.

A police officer at the wheel opens a robbery alert on the Sentinel ID dashboard screen

On the way

1Sentinel ID, on the dashboard screenRobbery in progress · Allen Avenue, Ikeja · 2 suspects on a motorcycle · 2 units responding
2OfficerAccepted. The directions are on the screen.
3Headquarters, on a callThe second unit is 3 minutes behind you. Wait for them before you go in.

The dispatch arrives on the screen in the car with the place, the distance and the instructions. One tap accepts it and opens directions, and headquarters sees the officer on the way.

Example scenarios: roadside checks, patrol enquiries and emergency dispatch.

Security features

Access security and approval controls

Approved devices for web access

Web access can require the Sentinel access client on an approved device. The server checks the installation before allowing a connection, including for privileged accounts.

View the controls

Keep the application on your private network

Staff and authorised partner systems connect through a secure public gateway. It carries pages, API requests, file transfers and live communications.

View the controls

Account security and temporary access

Each account has one active login. Signing in on another device signs out the earlier session. Password and security changes also end earlier sessions.

View the controls

Case and identity approvals

Every officer belongs to a unit or station. Approval permissions can limit case reviewers to their own unit or agency. Self-approval follows the organisation’s policy.

View the controls

Evidence and confidential records

Evidence records include checks for file changes and a history of who handled each item. Digital signatures and legal holds are available when set up for the organisation.
